Surface Preparation

The surface to be treated with BTM Plastobit PP 4000 V Waterproofing Membrane must be clean and free from dust, dirt, rust, oil, and loose particles. Depending on the substrate, BTM BTS 100 liquid waterproofing material or BTM BTR 100 primer should be applied and allowed to dry completely before installation.

Application Method

• Installation must be carried out by certified waterproofing application teams.
• Application should not be performed at temperatures below +5°C.
• For cold-weather applications, membrane rolls should be stored indoors at temperatures above +5°C for at least 24 hours before use and applied immediately after being brought to the site. Failure to follow this procedure may result in cracking of the membrane surface.
• During alignment on site, membrane rolls should be unrolled slowly and carefully.
• Installed waterproofing layers must be protected against impact and mechanical damage.

Packaging

BTM Plastobit PP 4000 V is supplied in rolls measuring 1 m wide and 10 m long.

Storage Conditions and Shelf Life

• Rolls must be transported and stored in an upright position.
• Necessary precautions should be taken during transportation to prevent rolls from tipping over.
• Store in covered warehouses on a flat surface and in a vertical position.
• Rolls should not be stacked on top of each other.
• Care should be taken during loading, unloading, and internal transportation to avoid hard impacts.
• If stored outdoors for extended periods, rolls should be covered to protect them from direct sunlight.
